Powder coating is a modern technology for metal surface treatment. It meets strict environmental protection criteria. It guarantees high-quality surface treatment of metals with powder paints. Part of the preparation of material before applying powder paints is thorough degreasing of the material surface.
Today, virtually all powder coatings are applied by spraying in an electrostatic field. This causes the powder particles to become electrically charged while the object being coated is grounded. The resulting electrostatic attraction is sufficient to create a sufficient layer of powder on the object, holding the dry powder in place until it melts in a baking oven at 180°C and adheres to the surface.
